What is cftu.exe
Many user reports state that their system security tools flag the cftu.exe process as a malicious program associated with the Win32/Renocide.gen!C application, which is a family of worms known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems. Other user reports claim that the cftu.exe process is a variant of the AutoIt/Renocide.gen!C application, which is another family of worms, while a few users state that their own anti-malware tools classify the cftu.exe process as a malicious program belonging to the Packed.Win32.Klone.bj and Worm.Win32.AutoIt.xl families of worms. According to these user reports, the cftu.exe process is capable of automatically initializing during system startup in order to secretly operate as a hidden background process while it creates duplicates of itself and places these copies in various directories, sub directories and partitions of unsecure data storage devices that are connected to the infected system.
