What is cft.exe
The cft.exe process is an executable file that has been reported by many users as a malicious application associated with the Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.cjjj application, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems. Other users claim that their system security tools classify the cft.exe process as a variant of the TROJ_MATCASH.BC application, which is another family of Trojans. Both user groups state that the cft.exe process is capable of exploiting unsecure TCP/IP network ports of the infected Windows-based computer, in order to initiate contact with remote servers that are managed by its authors. Upon establishing communications with these predesignated remote servers, the cft.exe process is said to download more malicious applications unto the system, according to these users. A few of these users also claim that the cft.exe process is capable of creating and injecting keys and entries into the Windows System Registry upon its successful placement and activation in the system, in order for Windows to allow the cft.exe process to initialize during system startup and operate as a hidden background process during system runtime.
