The cfg32o.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious program disguised as a legitimate Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module, and these users claim that the cfg32o.dll file has been classified by their system security tools as a variant of the Win32.BookedSpace application, which is a family of adware components known to infect Windows-based systems. Other users also claim that the cfg32o.dll file is embedded with spyware-like functionalities to aid this malicious program in secretly gathering private user details and Internet surfing information from the infected system and its default Web browser. The cfg32o.dll is also said to be capable of creating and injecting keys and entries into the Windows System Registry, in order for the system to allow the cfg32o.dll file to automatically initialize during system startup and continue operating in the system as a hidden background process while it searches for unprotected TCP/IP network ports that it is said to exploit and use to send pop-up ads to the user while he or she is browsing the Internet, and these ads are said to be related to the content of the websites currently being viewed by the user, or to the content of the user's frequently visited websites, bookmarked Web pages and Internet search engine queries.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfg32o.dll. is used by Win32.BookedSpace Adware, If you shut down cfg32o.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cfg32o.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Win32.BookedSpace Adware, from your system.
