The cfdrive32.exe process is an executable file that has been classified by the system security tools of many users as a malicious application associated with the Trojan.Generic.KD.28165 software, which is a family of Trojans known to infect Windows-based systems. Other user reports claim that the cfdrive32.exe process is capable of automatically running during system startup because of certain keys and entries this malicious application has been reported to create and inject into the Windows System Registry upon its successful placement and activation in the system, because these registry keys and entries are said to instruct the system to allow the cfdrive32.exe file to automatically activate during the system boot process. The same user reports state that the cfdrive32.exe process, upon its successful activation during system startup, is capable of operating as a hidden background process during system runtime, in order to exploit unprotected TCP/IP network ports. These exploited system vulnerabilities help the cfdrive32.exe process to initiate contact with Web servers that are managed by its authors and to download more malicious applications unto the already infected Windows-based system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfdrive32.exe. is used by Trojan.Generic.KD.28165, If you shut down cfdrive32.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cfdrive32.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan.Generic.KD.28165, from your system.
