The cfd.exe process is the executable file for Board Jump Client Foundation, a broadband maintenance and troubleshooting services. It functions as a program starter and broadband connection monitor to maintain quality. The file cfd.exe runs automatically upon system starts up. It consumes minimal system memory and proven safe to reside in the system, it is recommended that users enable the program to run continuously as disabling it would lead to system instability, errors, and frequent computer crashes. The Board Jump Client software supports data transfer services alongside assistance to ensure optimized browsing as well as file sharing. Setting the program to auto-run works like a command to the broadband service to connect automatically to the Internet to get application updates. When the process completes, a System Tray icon will be generated and placed in the taskbar indicating activity and connection quality together with transfer rates. Clicking the icon shows a window panel for user configuration.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfd.exe. is used by Board Jump Foundation application, If you shut down cfd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
