The cdenable.sys process is an instance of a driver file and a Windows program, which is a part of the software MAC Emulator Pack. As a device driver file, it enables a user or the Windows computer system to control the hardware and its integral parts, which include monitor, mouse, modem, sound card, video card, CD-ROM, and printer, that overall optimize the stability and enhance the performance of the system. This file is compatible with most later versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, such as Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Regardless of the OS used, once the software is downloaded onto the computer, the cdenable.sys file, along with other modules, including the processes that depend on it for execution, is installed, stored on a file folder location, mostly in C:\Program Files, and runs in the background. Unless it is causing errors and technical problems, this file must not be terminated, or else it won’t enable the functions designated for the software to work.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cdenable.sys. is used by MAC Emulator Pack, If you shut down cdenable.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cdenable.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MAC Emulator Pack, from your system.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
