This dynamically loaded or linked file is in the C:\Program Files subfolder. Known sizes for this file include 98,816 bytes, 97,792 bytes with 23% occurrence and 7 other variants. A DLL file is a Windows application that has functions that can be applied to other applications. It can be injected into other running applications to change or control their behavior. This is not a visible program. It is not a system file on Windows. You can access the Beyond Compare program on the Windows Control Panel. Beyond Compare is an application that lets you compare your folders and files or entire drives to see the differences between versions. You can synchronize the files, merge the changes and generate reports. You can edit and view text files using comparison rules and syntax highlighting for source code, documents and HTML.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bcshellex.dll. is used by Beyond Compare, If you shut down bcshellex.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bcshellex.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Beyond Compare, from your system.
