The executable process file, avrmtctr.exe (version 2.1.0.7201), is associated with VAIO Remote Commander, which is a Windows file as created by VAIO by the Company, Sony. It is regarded to be as a non-essential process for the operating system, but can be accessed through Start-Control Panel. The process file avrmtctr.exe is not considered to be a Windows system file nor is it CPU intensive. It has symbol reflected on the system tray which give the user the ability to access the program windows of the remote control driver, therefore, it functions as video and audio remote control software for Sony VAIO notebooks. The process file, avrmtctr.exe is found in Program Files\Sony\VAIO Zone Remote Commander\AvRmCtr. Exe folder that is further down located in the subfolder C:\Program Files with the directory of %PRAOGRAMFILE%\Sony\Do VAIO Remocon. On Windows 7/XP, the file size is at 192,512 bytes (96% of all occurrences), or 184,320 bytes. During the Windows boot process, the process file is executed with the Registry Keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run.
