The atttoolbar.dll file belongs to AT&T Toolbar. It is created by AT&T. It is a non-system process. It is not CPU intensive, though it is a DLL file that is dynamically loaded or linked with an executable application or other DLL files and can run with these files upon startup. Running several processes at the same time may affect the performance of your computer. You may disable it through the Configuration utility or through Add/Remove programs. This file has a digital signature. It has no visible window. It can record inputs. It is capable of monitoring Internet Explorer. It is not a core file on Windows. It is a file signed by Verisign. AT&T Toolbar provides fast access to your favorite Internet functions such as your E-mail and search engine to facilitate your Internet surfing. It is a plug-in for Internet Explorer browser that can link back to AT&T Web Portal.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. atttoolbar.dll. is used by AT&T Toolbar, If you shut down atttoolbar.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop atttoolbar.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AT&T Toolbar, from your system.
