What is atmsrvc.exe
The atmsrvc.exe file is identified as the Windows NT Font Driver Service. It is a program file for the software Adobe Type Manager developed by Adobe Systems Incorporated. Its auto startup locations include installed services and running programs. The program is now available as Adobe Type Manger Light or ATM Light. It is a free font utility for printing and viewing PostScript fonts. ATM Light is a system component that automatically creates screen font bitmaps of high quality from PostScript outlines using OpenType or Type 1 format. ATM Light allows you to scale the fonts without making the characters appear to be jagged. It also allows the user to perform “font smoothing” to improve the font appearance onscreen using the color palette on the computer monitor. This results in an improved rendering of the characters. It will also enable printing of PostScript fonts on printers that are non-PostScript. It is also used to make customized multiple master fonts.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. atmsrvc.exe. is used by Adobe Type Manager, If you shut down atmsrvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop atmsrvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Adobe Type Manager, from your system.
