The process that runs as a background application for Islamasoft Athan Prayer Utility, from Islamasoft Solutions, is called athan.exe. This executable file is also referred to as Automatic Athan or Azan and its main function is to run the window and the system tray for the said application. Athan.exe also allows the Islamasoft Athan Prayer Utility application to automatically run during the computer's start up process. This application is necessary for the users who are believers of the Islam faith. Islamasoft Athan Prayer is a program that determines the schedule of five obligatory prayer for the Islam faith. The program also calculates the time for each prayers based on the time zone that the user follows. This file is located inside the Program Files folder of the user's local directory and has a storage size of 930 KB - 980 KB.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. athan.exe. is used by The Athan Software, If you shut down athan.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
