Referred to by the service name America Online or AOL Fast Start, the aol.exe process is a Windows file that is a part of the program America Online or AOL Software, which is produced by America Online, or simply abbreviated as AOL. This file is among the essential components, but its main task is to enable the software AOL to launch in the background during the startup of Windows. It is a component that is bundled in the software, so if it is installed, aol.exe is also downloaded, regardless of the version of the AOL program used. Other than this file and other processes that call for it, as well as modules that belong to the software, the different components that make up AOL Explorer and AOL Instant Messenger or AIM are also installed on the computer system. This particular file, aol.exe, is possible to execute other modules within the main AOL Software, and also from AOL Instant Messenger, and, or AOL Explorer.
