The amicosinglun.exe file is known by its name as Single LUN Icon Utility (for VID version 058F PID 6366), a part of IconUtility, which is one of the components of the program Alcor Micro USB Card Reader, a product created by AlcorMicro Company, Ltd., or otherwise called as Alcor Micro. As the launcher, the amicosinglun.exe file enables the application to function, by providing different icons of cards based on their types, once they are inserted into the card reader. It basically informs the user the kind of cards used and inserted when they are connected to the card reader. This file, along with other processes and modules that are dependent with it, is downloaded and registered in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, once the application Alcor Micro USB Card Reader is installed. This is compatible with many Windows operating systems, which include the latest versions, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. amicosinglun.exe. is used by Alcor Micro USB Card Reader, If you shut down amicosinglun.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop amicosinglun.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Alcor Micro USB Card Reader, from your system.
