File alxtb2.dll is a dynamic library file that is owned by AlxTB Module. This is a Browser Helper Object that can be installed on a browser’s toolbar for additional browser features. This is a creation of Alexa Internet. Browser Helper Objects are Microsoft Internet Explorers plugins that may come in different versions. Some Browser Helper Objects include, but not limited to, Adobe Acrobat, Alexa Toolbar, Google Toolbar, and other Search Engine Toolbars. The Adobe Acrobat BHO is used to read PDF files on and off the internet. The Alexa Toolbar is responsible in giving users more website suggestions related to the information they are surfing or looking for. The Google Toolbar adds further features to the Google search engine. Then there are other Toolbars like the Conduit Toolbar usually seen or used on Internet Explorer version 7 that adds other featured options on Bing search engine.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. alxtb2.dll. is used by AlxTB Module, If you shut down alxtb2.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop alxtb2.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AlxTB Module, from your system.
