The process file alcagent.exe is also called ALC Update Service Module designed for the software Sophos Remote Management System also called ALC Update Service Module. The Sophos Remote Management System software has been designed to be utilized for communication between servers. The file is normally located on the Windows computer’s C:\Program Files subfolder with file size at 200,704 bytes on both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems. Users have the option to uninstall this file from the Control Panel by simply looking for the software name. This process does not have a visible display window when running on the computer. The process also has the capability to detect incoming data as well as send out data through open ports reaching the Local Area Network of the computer or the internet. This file is not considered a Windows core file so it has the possibility of occupying space on a computer’s hard drive.
