My iMac will not complete the startup sequence. It shows a grey screen with a small white apple logo and under the apple is a spinning round shape made of small slashes. The spinning just goes on forever

My iMac worked fine two days ago. I had it powered off all day yesterday. Today, it won't start up. It has Mac OS 10.

Hi Diana,

Sorry to hear about the problem.

It could be a number of factors causing your Mac to stall at the grey screen.

Luckily, the folks at Apple have a step-by-step guide you can follow in such a situation:

Give the guide a try and let us know how you go.

Good luck,

James
