no new upgrades, came with windows 10, wondering if its something with startup, i have 11 running programs on startup, not sure what i need or dont need running at startup.
I think that there is some application running in background which is causing the issue. Let's perform a clean boot in Windows and check if it works.
A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program.
You can follow the below mentioned steps to perform Clean Boot:
Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility. Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.
On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)
On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
Click OK, and then click Restart.
After you have finished clean boot, follow these steps to boot to normal startup.
Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.
In the ‘Run’ windows type ’MSCONFIG’ and click ‘Ok’.
On the ‘General’ tab, click the ‘Normal Startup’ option, and then click ‘OK’.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click ‘Restart’.
If it doesn't work for you, you can try running System maintenance troubleshooter:
Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.
Click “System and security”
Select "System maintenance"
Click next to run the troubleshooter.
You can also try Installing all the available patches from Windows update.
Click "Search" and type "Windows update settings" without quotes and hit enter.
I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
Mi computadora prende y tarda mucho despues me sale un mensaje con una carita triste :( despues me dice que se solucionara pero no pasa nada solo se reinicia y vuelve a pasar lo mismo. Ayuda!!!!
