Hi John,

You can try the below fixes to resolve your problem with Display Driver:

Fix 1:Run SFC (system file checker) scan
In order to fix any corrupt system files the system file checker (SFC) utility allows administrators to perform a scan of all protected resources to verify that they are the correct version.
If SFC should find any incorrect versions in any of these protected resources, SFC will replace them with the correct versions.

To run a SFC scan follow the steps below:
  • Click on start and in the start search bar type cmd, right click on the command prompt icon in the programs area and then click on run as administrator.
  • At the command prompt type sfc /scannow and then press enter.

Fix 2: Display driver update
use the below steps to update your driver:
  1. Open the device manager and expand the display drivers section.
  2. Right click on the display driver and select update driver software, this will now pop up with the driver updater.
  3. Once the installation is finished you will get success message, then reboot your computer and it should be fixed.
I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh

Hi John,

Your computer requires a graphics card to render video. This type of card needs software drivers that receive and process instructions from applications to output video. "Igfx" refers to the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, an onboard graphics chip. If a message appears in the notification area informing you that the driver has crashed, the software may be outdated or corrupted. Graphic designers and other professionals who run graphics-intensive software on their computers are more likely to see this error.
  1. Click "Start | Control Panel | Appearance and Personalization | Display."
  2. Choose "Change Display Settings" from the left pane. Click the "Advanced Settings" button.
  3. Write down the name of the driver exactly as it is displayed on the Adapter tab. Click "Cancel" and then close Control Panel.
  4. Navigate to the Intel Download Center (link in Resources). Select "Graphics" as the product family.
  5. Choose the appropriate product line from the associated drop-down menu and then select the product name you discovered in Control Panel.
  6. Click "Find." Choose your operating system from the options, and then select the most up-to-date driver from the results.
  7. Click "Download." Read the Intel Software License Agreement, then click "I Accept the Terms in the License Agreement."
  8. Launch the EXE file after the download completes to install the latest version of the driver and resolve the error.
I hope this helps.

Regards,

Ryan

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
