I am using Windows 8 and all my drivers are up to date as checked by your software Driver Reviver.
I tried using safe mode as well but no luck.
If nothing happens will I have to downgrade to Windows 7?

Hi Yi Ling,

This 0xc000007b error usually comes when there is a problem with your Visual C++ Libraries or any Software problem has occured.

In order to resolve this issue, you can try the below fixes:

Fix 1: Try reinstalling the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries.
You can download it from the below link for your 64 bit Windows.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632

If the issue still persists after installing above package, the issue is due to a software problem.

Fix 2: Try a clean boot in your machine

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program.

You can follow the below mentioned steps to perform Clean Boot:
  1. Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
  2. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility.
Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)
  4. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
  5. Click OK, and then click Restart.
After you have finished clean boot, follow these steps to boot to normal startup.
  1. Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.
  2. In the ‘Run’ windows type ’MSCONFIG’ and click ‘Ok’.
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, click the ‘Normal Startup’ option, and then click ‘OK’.
  4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click ‘Restart’.
I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh

Hello Yi,

Thanks for posting your concerns here.

Most often this problem has two causes, it's either:

1. Software issues

2. Visual C++ Libraries are missing

  • Software issues
I recommend you take a Clean Boot check whether it is a software conflict issue. If not, it is still recommended to address the problem with manufacturer support.

Place the computer in a clean boot state and then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

You may also refer to this link from Dolphin Forums where the same error code has been discussed.

  • Visual C++ Libraries are missing
If the issue is caused by Visual C++, you can reinstall the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries to resolve the problem.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

I hope this helps!

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,
