	Hi Luis, You should be able to change the file extension through the Windows control panel. Click on Start, open Control Panel, click Default Programs, Set Associations, select the file type in the list and click Change Program to set or change the current defaults. Alternatively, you can also right-click the file whose association you want to change, by selecting Properties, clicking the General tab, Type Of File, click Change and Choose a program from the list or recommended or other programs or else click Browse to select one. Hi Luis,

Go to Control Panel/Default Programs/Set Default Programs.
Click on a program on the left and choose which program you want to open that particular program with.
You can also right click a program/Properties and choose Open With, choose the default program and make sure the check box for Always use the selected program to open this type of file.
