Hi George,

The first thing I would suggest you to do is running a SFC scan. System File Checker utility is used to scan and then automatically replace any corrupt or missing system files. Just follow the below steps:
  1. Press ‘Windows + X’ Keys.
  2. Click on ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’ to bring up an elevated command prompt.
  3. In the command prompt type in the following command and then press Enter.
  4. Enter the command: sfc /scannow
If it doesn't work, try the below method:

If you right click the start menu and the bar at the bottom still pops up, click the button "All Apps". Right click any app you have and click "Unpin from Start" or "Pin to Start". Wait for it to load and if you go back to the start menu, you should be able to see all your tiles again.

Finally, if you are not getting tiles back, then follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Make sure hidden files and folder are enabled.
  2. Open a cmd prompt in admin mode
  3. Type " net user administrator /active:yes " without quotations (this enables hidden admin account)
  4. Log off - log into admin account
  5. Go to. file explorer > your hard drive that windows is installed on (mine was D:/)> Users > Administrator > AppData (again if you don't see app data, do step 1 again) > Local > Microsoft > Windows
  6. Here you will see a file called, appsFolder.itemdata-ms. Copy this. ( if you don't see this file go to Application Shortcuts, And remember where you copied it from)
  7. Now go back to the users folder ( in step 5) > this time choose Your Primary account instead of administrator ( mine was Lokesh) > and follow step 5 again from Appdata
  8. When you get to your destination folder, Delete the appsFolder.itemdata-ms from your primary user account, And paste the New one you just copied
  9. In your default user account cmd prompt admin mode, type " net user administrator /active:no " without quotations ( this turns your admin account off again ).
  10. Reboot and see if it helps.

Thanks,
Lokesh

Best Lokesh,
Thanks for a quick and very extensive answer. Am 67 years old and I can not get out heelaas

By Press "Windows + X Keys. I come across a Windows Mobility Center
where there is no 'Command Prompt (Admin)
I come and I give the command sfc / scannow I receive a notification via deBureauAssociers in opdrachtpromt: You must perform a console session as Administrator already su to use the SFC utility.
Here I do not know how I can get into the admin mode. Thus, I can not continue with your esteemed opinion.
Would you help me please?
Sincerely,
Jirko (George)

Dear Christian,

Thanks for the proposed solution. Of all the advice that I have received for my problem was this the best. Did what you suggested, added new tile and reboot. The tiles are gone. PERFECT.
