You can easily configure the ActiveX in Internet Explorer by following the below steps:
Open Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
On the Security tab, click the Custom level button.
Scroll down the Security Settings list until you see ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
For Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls, click Enable.
Scroll down to Download signed ActiveX controls and click Enable or Prompt.
Scroll down to Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins and click Enable or Prompt.
Scroll down to Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting and click Enable or Prompt.
Click OK, and then click OK again.
You can also add approved ActiveX controls by following below steps:
Review the ActiveX control settings in the Axaa.adm file. If you want to add more controls to this list, such as controls that your organization has created, use a text editor to edit the Axaa.adm file.
In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
On the Security tab, click the zone for which you want to manage ActiveX controls, and then click Custom Level.
Scroll to Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins, and then click Administrator approved.
When you run Internet Explorer 7 Customization Wizard to create a custom package, on the Additional Settings page, click Control Management to expand its contents, and then select the check boxes for the controls you want to approve.
When I connect an external microphone to the jack, it is not working. I can see it in the "Sound" tab, but the levels is very low. I have tried with several microphones.
