Hi Urzus,
If the YouTube page loads but the video does not stream, I think you are facing this issue either due to faulty Adobe installation or issue with hardware accelerator. You can follow the below methods in order to resolve this issue and continue watching YouTube videos online in your browser: Method 1. Uninstall and Reinstall Adobe Flash Player This may fix the flash video issue and it may not, but it’s worth a shot. Start by jumping to the official Adobe website and downloading the Flash Player uninstaller for OS X. Launch the uninstaller and simply uninstall Flash Player from your Mac and restart the computer. Once your computer boots back up and you’re signed in, proceed to Adobe.com to download the latest version of Flash Player. Reinstall and check to see if YouTube videos are working. Method 2. Try to disable Flash hardware acceleration While on the screen of the blank YouTube video that is not working correctly, right-click the area where the video would normally show up to bring up the Flash Player context menu. Select the Settings option from the menu. Uncheck the option Enable hardware acceleration and click the Close button. Close out of the browser completely, relaunch and test YouTube videos. Method 3: Delete cache from your browser Deleting your web cache is a good way to speed up a slow internet connection. These files take up valuable resources that could be used to for a better net surfing experience. Remember that while you are online many files in the web cache are active. Cookies are loaded in your browsers and constantly update themselves. Also your computer will search through the temp files to match the latest version of a web page. So, by clearing the web cache you cut down on the work your PC needs to do thus speeding up your slow internet connection. Remember to shutdown the browser when deleting the cache. Because what files are open will not be deleted. Here how to delete your temporary internet files. Manual steps to erase your temporary internet files.
For the IDM issue, you can have another software indstalled for downloading the videos. Here’s the alternative: Flash Video Downloader It’s an add on of Firefox browser. It can capture any video playing over the web page. You just need to play the video, then click on Flash Video Plugin and you will see various formats and resolutions in which you can download the video. Some other good download manager include:

Hi Urzus,
Thanks for posting your concerns here. There are couple of reasons why you are unable to play videos online. And sometimes, the answer could be very simple like: 1. Clearing Browser Cache Clearing your browsing cache would help the problem, it is a simple trick and mostly, if not everybody, it solves their problem regarding issue with playing videos online. If you are using Google crome, please refer from the instructions below. Shortcut key: (Ctrl+shift+delete)
This is the second simple solution, you just need to update your computers driver to be able to play videos online. You can check out our DriverReviver for free scan to your computer. Here's DriverReviver direct download link: http://reviversoft.c... 3. Some videos online have independent software player Yes, there are websites online that would require you to install software to be able to play their videos. So you need to install their software player to play a video, but you need to take extra care though since some of them, if you'll let them install their software player they would install an additional type of software which without you knowing it. And it could cause computer issues like additional memory use which could slow your computer down. I hope the above solutions helps! If you have any other questions, please let me know and I will be more than happy to answer them for you. Best Regards, Christian |
