Hi Duane,

If the Twitter page loads but the video's or images are not coming up, this may be either due to faulty Adobe installation or issue with hardware accelerator in Mozilla Firefox.

You can try the below fixes to resolve this issue and continue browsing Twitter online.

Fix 1. Uninstall and& then Reinstall Adobe Flash Player

Start by jumping to the official Adobe website and downloading the Flash Player uninstaller for Windows 8.1. Launch the uninstaller and simply uninstall Flash Player from your Windows and restart the computer.

Once your computer boots back up and you’re signed in, proceed to Adobe.com to download the latest version of Flash Player.
Reinstall and check to see if Twitter is working now or not.

Fix 2. Try disabling Flash hardware acceleration

While on the screen of the blank Twitter page that is not working correctly, right-click the area where the image/video would normally show up to bring up the Flash Player context menu.
Select the Settings option from the menu. Uncheck the option Enable hardware acceleration and click the Close button.
Close out of the browser completely, relaunch and test it.

Fix 3: Delete cache from Mozilla Firefox

Deleting your web cache is a good way to speed up a slow internet connection. These files take up valuable resources that could be used to for a better net surfing experience. Remember that while you are online many files in the web cache are active.

Cookies are loaded in your browsers and constantly update themselves. Also your computer will search through the temp files to match the latest version of a web page. So, by clearing the web cache you cut down on the work your PC needs to do thus speeding up your slow internet connection. Remember to shutdown the browser when deleting the cache. Because what files are open will not be deleted. Here how to delete your temporary internet files.
  1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
  2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.
  4. Click Clear Now.
  5. Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.clear cache incontent
I hope this helps in getting the problem solved.

Regards,
Lokesh
