Hi Debbie,

You can use the below steps to remove thos error:

Step 1: Set the computer to clean boot state.
  1. Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
  2. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility.
Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)A screenshot for this step.
  4. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.A screenshot for this step.
  5. Click OK, and then click Restart.

After the computer is restarted, you will have a clean boot environment.

Step 2: Perform System File Check to fix the corrupted system files
  1. To do this, click Start, type Command Prompt or cmd in the Search box, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
    A screenshot for this step.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow
    A screenshot for this step.

The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache.
The %WinDir% placeholder represents the Windows operating system folder. For example, C:\Windows.

Note: Do not close this Command Prompt window until the verification is 100% complete. The scan results will be shown after this process is finished.
  3. After the process is finished, you may receive one of the following messages:
    • Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
This means that you do not have any missing or corrupted system files.
    • Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
To resolve this problem, perform the System File Checker scan in safe mode, and make sure that the PendingDeletes and PendingRenames folders exist under %WinDir%\WinSxS\Temp.
    • Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

Step 3: Update the latest motherboard and graphics card drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

You can refer to the below link for t he same:

Hi Debbie,

Some quick questions:
1. Do you recall installing a video driver or codec pack on your PC before this started?
2. Does this happen only when you use a particular app or perform a specific function?

My first suggestion would be to re-install the video card/graphics driver on your computer.
Next, reinstall any video codec packs or media players on your PC with their latest releases.

Let us know how you go with this.

Hi Debbie, Do you get this message when using the same application every time? Which one of our applications are you trying to use to fix it? Registry Reviver or Driver Reviver? Mark
