Hi Aldert,
Newfolder.exe is a nasty computer virus. It shares many similarities with other common cyber infections, but it does have some unique peculiarities. It tends to slither its way into your system via means of deceit, more often than not, by using USB drives.
Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.
Step 1. The newfolder.exe virus disabled your taskmanager, that’s why you need to manually write these commands
Simultaneously press the Windows Logo Button and then “R” to open the Run Command WindowType the commands one by one and hit Enter after each one.
- taskkill /f /t /im “New Folder.exe”
- taskkill /f /t /im “SCVVHSOT.exe”
- taskkill /f /t /im “SCVHSOT.exe”
- taskkill /f /t /im “scvhosts.exe”
- taskkill /f /t /im “hinhem.scr”
- taskkill /f /t /im “blastclnnn.exe”
Step 2. Enable Task Manager and Regedit
Simultaneously press the Windows Logo Button and then “R” to open the Run Command WindowType the commands one by one and hit Enter after each one.
- reg add HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
- reg add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
- reg add HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
- reg add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Step 3. Enable View Hidden Files
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, go to Control Panel, find Appearance and Personalization, and then click on Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Under Advanced settings, check Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.go to the following directories and delete the malware files
- C:WINDOWSSCVVHSOT.exe
- C:WINDOWSSCVHSOT.exe
- C:WINDOWShinhem.scr
- C:WINDOWSsystem32SCVHSOT.exe
- C:WINDOWSsystem32blastclnnn.exe
- C:WINDOWSsystem32autorun.ini
- C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsSCVHSOT.exe
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Lokesh
