What is  stunnel.exe

The stunnel.exe process is the SecureShell Tunnel (stunnel) program that was developed by RS4U Software Design. This process file is under the SSH Tunnel (Stunnel or Secure Tunnel) software and is a product stunnel 4.47 for x86-pc-mingw32-gnu. SSH Tunnel is a program for tunneling and encryption, which supports SSH1 and SSH2. Its port forwarding system allows remote forwarding and local address allocations. This Windows file may be found in the C:\Program Files\ssh tunnel folder and on Windows 7/XP, its size ranges from 90,112 to 1,448,110 bytes. When found elsewhere, this file could be a worm, virus, spyware, or Trojan. This file is not digitally signed and is also not a core file for Windows. It connects to the Internet or LAN through ports, and remains invisible. An executable file, this may be seen operating as the stunnel.exe process in Task Manager. It has also been created under the file name %ProgramFiles%\stunnel\stunnel.exe.

How can I stop stunnel.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. stunnel.exe. is used by SSH Tunnel, If you shut down stunnel.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop stunnel.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SSH Tunnel, from your system.
