The stinger.exe process is also known as the Avant Browser and it belongs to Avant Browser or WinSweep, being owned by an unknown company. The Avant Browser is a freeware web browser developed by a Chinese programmer, that consolidates the Trident layout engine that is built into Windows with an interface that is intended to be more flexible, feature-rich and ergonomic that Microsoft’s IE (Internet Explorer). It runs with Windows 2000 and the above versions. It contains no visible window and is capable of connecting to the Internet, hide itself, record inputs, manipulate other programs and monitor applications. The technical security rating of the process is 46% dangerous making it of almost mixed reviews. It is best to maintain security for the user’s computer system and to be vigilant regarding possible threats. The process can be essential for the functionality of the computer system and it is better to keep the process intact and not terminate it.
