Many user reports claim that the kmsservice.exe process is a malicious EXE program file embedded with virus and spyware-like functionalities. The same user reports state that the kmsservice.exe process is capable of intercepting user activity on the keyboard and record keyboard inputs into a log file that is then transmitted by the kmsservice.exe process to predesignated remote servers through exploited unsecure TCP/IP network ports of the infected system. Some users claim that the kmsservice.exe process can create other malware items and malicious processes in the infected system upon its successful placement and activation in a Windows-based computer. A few users state that the kmsservice.exe process is also capable of injecting malicious code into system DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules and SYS driver libraries. The same users also state that the kmsservice.exe process is also integrated with MIME email-sending functionalities through the use of vulnerable Web browser resources and unprotected TCP/IP network ports of the infected Windows-based system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. kmsservice.exe. is used by Virus/Spyware, If you shut down kmsservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop kmsservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Virus/Spyware, from your system.
