What is  fah-console.exe

The fah-console.exe file is the process called FAH5.04 that is used by the software Folding@Home Client developed by Stanford University. The location of this executable file is in the C:\Program Files subfolder. The size of this file is 253,952 bytes. This is not a visible program. It is a non-system process on Windows. You can access the program on the Windows Control Panel. Folding@Home is a distributed computing software that is used by Stanford University scientists in their studies of diseases including Huntington’s, Alzheimers, Parkinson’s and cancers. This software runs on your home or personal computer. A problem will be assigned to your computer for you to solve. After you solve one problem, it will send you another. You can get feedback if you want or just allow it to run. Scientists will use your answers in solving problems that require many calculations. Folding refers to the assembly of proteins before they can perform their functions. Proteins are the powerhouse that enable your body to break down food into useful energy, fight diseases and control your moods. When proteins do not fold correctly called misfolding, they cause serious health conditions like the disease mentioned above. Solving the problems related to protein misfolding will help in designing the cure for these diseases.
