What is  boot.exe

The file boot.exe is also known as the Taskmgr which belongs the Acer Empowering Technology or the Acer ePower Management. The file is also linked to the Microsoft Windows Operating System software that is made by the Microsoft company. The software provides the user with a Graphical User Interface about managing the power of battery as well as the notification of the level of the battery. The file can be usually found in the C:\Program Files and has the file size of 579,584 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). However the file size may change when used in different Operating System. The process usually starts when the operating system starts which has the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders, C:\Windows\win.ini, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell. This file does not belong to the windows system core. The user may also have the privilege to remove the process by removing whole software.

How can I stop boot.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. boot.exe. is used by Acer Empowering Technology, If you shut down boot.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
