The HP Power Manager allows configuring of power failure settings that define UPS load segments for maximum uptime of critical servers, or extend run times for critical devices during utility power failures. The features of this software include storage shutdown and restart oprions, graceful unattended shutdown based on specified events, and real time alarm monitoring.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. devmanbe.exe. is used by HP Power Manager, If you shut down devmanbe.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop devmanbe.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP Power Manager, from your system.
