What is csrse.exe
According to many users, the csrse.exe process has been identified by their anti-malware tools as a malicious application associated with a variant of the Trojan.Win32.Scar.dreo program, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems with missing OS security certificates and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These users also claim that the csrse.exe malware is capable of exploiting unencrypted TCP/IP network ports of the unprotected Windows-based computer, and the csrse.exe malware is said to use these system vulnerabilities to download more malicious applications unto the system from remote servers that are managed by the authors of the csrse.exe process. Some users reported that the csrse.exe malware finds and exploits these unencrypted TCP/IP network ports while operating as a cloacked background process, and the csrse.exe malware is said to be capable of doing this and to automatically initialize during system startup because of certain registry strings that the csrse.exe malware is said to create and inject into the unsecured Windows System Registry upon its initial placement and activation in the unprotected Windows-based computer, especially in systems with outdated or missing OS security certificates. Other user groups claim that their system security tools flag the csrse.exe process as a malware program associated with components and variants of the Generic.dx!wig application, which is another family of Trojans reported to be embedded with spyware functionalities.
