How to use Restore Point on Windows 10

Restore point, what is it and why is it essential?

If you did experience an issue after running an app on your computer and are unable to resolve the issue by the common solutions such as restarting your computer, uninstalling the application, and other fixes.

Then, the restore point might be the perfect option for you.

Windows offers you an option to go back in time wherein you can choose to revert any changes made on your computer. This is called restore point and enjoy the settings you wanted for your computer.

Step 1: Restore PC via Windows settings

1. Please go to your Start and type: Control Panel

2. Select the top result which will lead you to Control Panel’s window

3. On the Control Panel window, go to the Search Box and type: Recovery

4. Under the Advanced recovery tools, select Open System Restore.

(If you are being prompted to allow the app, please click Yes to proceed.)

5. You will see a new window, then select Next.

6. By clicking Next, you will see the list of Descriptions, choose the one(time) where you’d want to get your computer restored.

7. Hit the Next button to complete the process.

Step 2: Restore settings by Interrupting the Power Supply

When trying to start your computer, interrupt the power supply or hold the power button to switch off your system.

By doing this a couple of times when Windows 10 is loading, in order to boot Windows in recovery mode. Once the PC boots into Recovery Mode try System Restore to resolve the issue. On choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot

1. On Troubleshoot screen, click the Advanced option

2. Then, click on System Restore, select the restore point wherein your system configuration is working well

3. Restart your PC
