Hi Francois,

Have you tried refreshing your PC?

Here\'s how you can go about it:

Find the Refresh and Reset options in Windows 8’s Settings Charm. Open it, click Change PC Settings at the bottom, then select General in Windows 8’s PC Settings menu, or Update and recovery Recovery in Windows 8.1.

On this screen, select the Refresh your PC option.

You can also choose to restore your PC to an earlier time, as explained here: http://windows.microsoft.com/fr-FR/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

If all else fails, you may need to backup your data and reset your PC completely. This option is available in the settings area described above.

Good luck!

James

Hi Francois,

You can use the below methods to solve this freezing issue:

Method 1: Hardware and devices troubleshooter

This built-in troubleshooter can detect and fix most of the errors and incorrect settings in the hardware devices. You can refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:
a)Press Windows key +F to bring up the search Charms bar.
b)Type Troubleshooter and press enter; click on the Settings tab below the search box.
c)Click on the Find and Fix problems tile and then click on the view all button the left pane.
d)Click on the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and run it.

Method 2: Use the Computer in clean boot mode and check.
  1. Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
  2. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility.
Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)A screenshot for this step.
  4. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.A screenshot for this step.
  5. Click OK, and then click Restart.

After the computer is restarted, you will have a clean boot environment.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
