The printer worked fine until I got a new computer. At first it would print a test page and print emails but not Word Documents.
Operating System:
Windows 10

Hi Linda,

Please follow the below steps and printer should work:
  1. When connected by a USB cable, reseat both ends of the cable going from the computer to the printer.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. Turn the printer off.
  4. Unplug the printer power cord from the A/C outlet or surge protector and wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug the printer power cord back into the A/C outlet or surge protector.
  6. Turn the printer back on.
  7. Make sure the desired printer is set as the default printer.
    1. Press and hold the Windows key Windows Button and then press the r key.
    2. In the Run box type, shell:PrintersFolder and then touch or click OK.
    3. Touch or click to highlight the desired printer.
    4. Touch and hold or right-click the desired printer.
    5. Touch or click Set as default printer.
  8. Print a test page.
If it doesn't work then Uninstall the printer driver, download and install the latest printer driver.

If it also doesn't work, perform a System restore.
To perform a System Restore, follow these steps:
  1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type Control Panel.
  2. Search Control Panel for Recovery.
  3. Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.
  4. Choose the restore point related to the problematic app, driver, or update, and then select Next > Finish
I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh

In most cases, finding a solution to this problem is fairly simple. All you might need to do is to restart the printer and the computer or unplug its USB cable. If you are using a network printer, either wired or wireless, the problem is with the connection, and you should restart your router.

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
