    Hi Ignacio,

Messenger has been discontinued by Windows. The only official messaging system is now Skype.
Mark has given excellent answer to your question.

Hi Ignacio, Thanks for posting on ReviverSoft Answers. You may (or may not) be aware the Microsoft retired the desktop version of Messenger back in April 2013. They now use Skype to facilitate desktop messaging. You do, however, have access to messenger via your live account in your browser. If this is what you are talking about, then once you sign into your live account you should be able to see a chat type \"speech bubble\" at the top right hand corner of your browser window. From here you can select which contacts you want to interact with, one of which is Skype. Here you\'ll be able to access your Skype contacts and use Windows Live Messenger to communicate with them Hope this helps and let me know how you get on. DDV

Hi Ignacio, As far as I know, it is not directly possible to import Skype contacts to WLM. However, you can merge your WLM contacts with your Skype contacts and start using Skype from now. Microsoft retired WLM last year to make way for Skype, so it doesn\'t make sense to continue using WLM. It won\'t receive any updates or patches either. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/messenger/messenger-to-skype Hope this helps.
