Hi Frank,

My first suggestion would be to restart your computer in Safe Mode and delete the folder.

- Restart your computer if it is powered on and start tapping the F8 key until you see Advanced Boot Options menu.

- Select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter.

- Log on to your computer using your Administrator account.

- Locate and delete the folder

My next suggestion would be to take ownership of the folder.

- Right click on the Folder that you are trying to delete

- Click on “Properties” on the right click menu.

- Select the “Security” tab.

- Click on the “Advanced” button at the bottom.

- In the Advanced Security Settings dialog window, click on “Owner” tab.

- To take ownership of the object, click on the Edit button. Give permission to UAC. Then highlight the user name in the “Change owner to” box that you want to assign as the owner (your username) for the object. Click “OK” to update the settings and “OK” again to exit the window

- Try deleting the folder again.

Hope this works for you!

James

    Hi Frank,

You can try the below steps to delete the folder:
    1. Make sure you're logged-in from administrator account

    1. Click Start | Control Panel.
    2. Click User Accounts | Manage User Accounts.
    3. Check the account type (administrator/ standard user). If the account type is standard, you'll have to continue following below steps.
    4. Click Start | Switch Account.
    5. Log-in to your Administrator account with valid password.

    2. Take Ownership of the File/ Folder
Taking file/ folder ownership means nothing but to specify read/ write/access permissions in the file/ folder properties dialog. There is a good possibility that the file/ folder properties lack enough ownership permissions.
    1. Open Windows Explorer. Open the parent directory where the actual file is stored.
    2. Now right-click on File or Folder and select Properties.
    3. Click on Security Tab | Advanced and then Owner.
    4. Change Owner to | Click on New Owner
    5. To take ownership of all objects and sub-containers select Replace Owner on Sub-Container and Objects

    3. Remove Disk Junk

    1. Click on Start button and in Search box type "Disk Cleanup".
    2. Right-click on Disk Cleanup and select "Run as administrator" option.
    3. Select the disk volume and click on OK.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Lokesh
