Hi Gregory,

What’s the make and model of laptop/desktop you’re using?

The issue could be caused as a result of generic/outdated audio (sound) drivers installed on your computer. Updating to the latest drivers should fix the issue.

I’d recommend you to visit the computer/motherboard manufacturer’s website and download and install the latest Windows 7 compatible drivers and check if that fixes the issue.

Also check for the error code corresponding to sound card when there is no sound on the computer.

1. ClickStart, type device manager in the Startsearch box and hit Enter.
2. Locate and expandSound, video and game controllers.
3. Right-click the device and selectProperties.
4. UnderGeneral tab, check for the status of the device under Device status.

Let us know the exact error message/code, if any.
If you have difficulty locating drivers post back with the make and model of the laptop/desktop and we’ll try to provide the exact download link.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh
