Hi Sophia,

Microsoft has made some changes to the functionality of the Charms bar. In Windows 8, you can activate the bar by going to the top or bottom right corner of your desktop and the bar will open. In Windows 10, Microsoft has removed that functionality and placed these Charms inside modern apps with a small drop down in the top left corner.

You can summon the Charms bar using a mouse, keyboard, or touchscreen by following these steps:

  • Mouse: Point at the top- or bottom-right corners.
  • Keyboard: Press the Windows key + C.
  • Touchscreen: Slide your finger inward from the screen’s right edge.
But, if you prefer the placement of the Charms bar on the right side, there is a new app that will return that functionality. Created by Neowin member CyclingGuyNOLA, you can hit the download link at the bottom of this post to get the app.
It's a simple .exe file that you run and it will place an icon in your system tray if you want to turn off the functionality. Once the app is running, by moving your mouse to the bottom right corner of your desktop, the Charms bar will show back up.

If you don't want to install the app, you can still open the Charms bar by pressing Windows Key + C too.

The Charms Bar’s Keyboard Shortcut Keys

Open the Charms barWindows+C
Search for apps, files or settingsWindows +Q
Share what you see onscreenWindows +H
Return to the Start screenWindows key
Interact with attached devicesWindows +K
Change settingsWindows +I

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh
