The winclean.exe process is an executable program file included with other EXE application resource files, certain DLL modules, some SYS driver resources, various background process items and associated components that are used by the Windows Registry Cleaner software. This is a Windows program classified as a malicious application by many user reports, and the same users claimed that the winclean.exe process along with the other components of the Windows Registry Cleaner software are integrated with malware-like functionalities associated with certain variants from the SPYBOT family of worms. According to other user reports, the winclean.exe process is implemented with spyware-like features that allow it to automatically initialize on its own during system startup and operate in the background during system runtime without user consent, in order to gather data and Internet browsing information from the system and the default Web browser. These pieces of collected data, according to some users, are then transmitted to Web servers that are operated and managed by the authors of the winclean.exe process.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. winclean.exe. is used by Windows Registry Cleaner Malware and SPYBOT Worm, If you shut down winclean.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop winclean.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Windows Registry Cleaner Malware and SPYBOT Worm, from your system.
