User Notification Service from Intel Management and Security Application, is a process that is launched when you execute the file uns.exe. The file comes with the software for Intel chipsets integrated into your PC. The file, alongside with the software that installed it, work together to provide you with control options for changing the properties of your device driver. There have been several instances where the file was detected as a virus, but users generally find out later on that the file is safe, and that the detection was mostly a false positive. You can find the file in its default directory, saved in the following manner: C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel Management Engine Components\uns.exe. File size may vary, based on the version that you installed on your PC; but usually, file size is about 2.21 MB. Common usage of CPU resources is 0.00127%. You may also find the file occupying about 5.43 MB of RAM space. The file services.exe serves as its parent process.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. uns.exe. is used by User Notification Service, If you shut down uns.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop uns.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is User Notification Service, from your system.
