What is  suchost.exe

The suchost.exe process is an executable file that has been reported by many users to be a malicious program. According to user reports, the suchost.exe process is a LOVGATE worm variant, while other user reports claimed that the suchost.exe process also has a variant associated with the TREB Trojan. The LOVGATE worm variant of the suchost.exe process is also commonly known as a malicious application that disguises itself as a legitimate COM++ System component, while the TREB Trojan variant has been reported to disguise itself as a resource file integrated into a legitimate configuration service module of a valid application installed in the infected Windows system. The suchost.exe process has been reported to be capable of automatically activating itself and running as a background process during system startup and runtime, in order to search for system vulnerabilities that it can possibly exploit to use open TCP/IP network ports for transmitting collected data and Web browsing information from the system and the default Web browser to predesignated Web servers, as well as for downloading other malicious programs unto the infected system.
