What is  standby.exe

The standby.exe file is an executable process and a part of the Standby Service program, which is a product created and digitally signed (VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2) by Cored Corporation. The main function of the file process standby.exe is to scan the computer hard disk, and built a list of DLLs (Dynamic Link Library) in a single file known as StandbyList.dat, which is then located in the folder PSP X3, and stored in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\Standby\1.0\ImageLists\PaintShop Photo Pro. After that, the same process continues and keeps scanning all those files repeatedly, and sometimes loads the DLL to read resources.
