The file ssrtln.sys, known as Shared Driver Component, belongs to software Sonic DLA by Sonic Solutions. Sonic Solutions is a developer and marketer of software related to digital media including digital formats of data, photographs, audio, and video. The software Sonic DLA is program that turns the CD and DVD disc into a huge floppy disc where the user can copy, create, and delete files from the disc as you would in a floppy. DLA (Direct Letter Access) is a packet writing technology for CD and DVD media that uses the UDF file system. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows operating system but a patch is required for Windows Vista capability. Running the Sonic DLA program with the process file ssrtln.sys in Windows Vista will result to incompatibilities that must be resolved with the installation of the a that will recognize the driver. Sonic DLA is not compatible with Internet Explorer 8 and can cause the stop error BSOD (Blue screen of death) on the Windows Server 2003 operating system.
