What is  sqlservr.exe

The sqlservr.exe process is also known as the Microsoft SQL Server is created by Microsoft Corporation. It is a relational database management system. As a software product, its primary function as a database is to retrieve and store data upon request by other software applications; this can happen whether these software applications are on the same computer or running on a different computer using a network (which includes the Internet). The sqlservr.exe process (SQL Server Management Studio) is an integrated environment for configuring, managing, accessing and developing the components of the SQL Server. It combines the features of Analysis Manager, Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer into a single environment, including the past releases of SQL Server. This EXE file also works with the other components of SQL Server including Reporting Services, SQL Server Compact and Integration Services. This process is considered safe to operate within the computer system. It is necessary to execute the user’s computer system and therefore should not be removed from its place and must remain intact.
