What is  sqlmangr.exe

SQL Server Service Manager is the name of the application that installs on the PC through the sqlmangr.exe executable file. The file displays an icon on the System Tray, which provides you with easy access to the various services of your SQL Server. The file is generally regarded as an essential file, not for the system per se, but for system administrators who frequently need to access SQL server services. The process file’s general location on disk is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\sqlmangr.exe. The most common file size installed on Windows XP and higher is 74,308 bytes. If you do not want the file executing with every system loading during startup, you may safely disable and remove it from your startup list of processes. The file does load with startup because that is its default configuration, but since it is not an essential system file, you may remove it from your startup files without causing any harm to the system and to the SQL Server software.
