This software provides TPM (Trusted Platform Module) management and policy configuration features for businesses, IT professionals, and end users and supports different platform types, operating systems, and multiple languages. TPM Professional is a TCG-compliant security solution for desktops and notebooks that uses a combination of the TPM hardware and TCG software stack (TSS). The TPM management feature allows easy configuration of the platform to the TPM environment and provide multi-faceted applications to ensure that it is communicating to a trusted platform while supporting seamless authentication with smart cards, secured USB, and biometric devices. The data management feature supports Microsoft Encrypted File System 9EFS), Personal Secure Drive (PSD), encrypted virtual drive, email programs and Web browser encrypting and digital signing.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sptna.exe. is used by Infineon TPM Professional, If you shut down sptna.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sptna.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Infineon TPM Professional, from your system.
