What is spnuhelper.exe
The file spnuhelper.exe belongs to software SharePort Utility. The SharePort Utility allows the user to connect a PC to a USB device that is connected to a device server. The process spnuhelper.exe is executed when the user connects or disconnects to/from the USB device. It is a simple utility connecting the computer to a USB printer, which can be controlled from the System tray by clicking on the applications icon. It is easy to use and enabling it involves just the selection of the USB device and clicking the Connect Button. The USB device will be available to the PC, as if it were directly connected to it. Clicking the Disconnect button from the Service tray will disengage the USB device from the computer. During printing, the SharePort Utility will automatically connect the PC to the printer, and when the printing job is completed, it will dicconnect the PC from the USB printer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. spnuhelper.exe. is used by ShaPort Utility, If you shut down spnuhelper.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop spnuhelper.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ShaPort Utility, from your system.
