It seeks inputs and decisions from the user, who can force a scan at any time or allow the software to sit in the background and monitor quietly. Automatic cleaning, quarantining, and isolation of viruses is based on regular software updates. It is quite effective in blocking known malwares, and automatically scans applications as these are installed to help users avoid undesirable software that could lead to data loss.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sophos_detoured.dll. is used by Sophos Antivirus, If you shut down sophos_detoured.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
